Iranian automaker - SAIPA, is planning to produce nine new models in the next three years, said SAIPA Group Managing Director Javad Soleimani, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
The new models will be manufactured domestically, using modern technologies, Soleimani noted.
Iran's new administration is supporting production in the auto industry, while the Ministry of Industries, Mine, and Trade is also planning to solve the problems of the auto sector, he said.
SAIPA manufactured 192,628 vehicles in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21-October 22). Production by this automaker increased by 2.2 percent compared to the previous year’s same period, when the output stood at 188,490.
