The number of industrial enterprises launched in Iran increased by 1.9 percent, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing via the statistics of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
According to the statistics, 4,011 enterprises were launched in the county over 7 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, a total of 3,936 enterprises had been launched.
“In general, 89,365 people were provided with jobs with the launch of industrial enterprises. The employment increased by 14.8 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure stood at 77,852 in the same period last year,” the statistics said.
About 1.33 quadrillion rials (about $31.7 billion) have been spent on the enterprises launched in the country within the mentioned period. The expenditures increased by 13.9 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure amounted to 1.17 quadrillion rials (about $27.8 billion).
“Furthermore, over seven months, Iran issued licenses on the setting up of 21,381 enterprises. About 6.7 quadrillion rials (about $159 billion) is to be spent on these enterprises and 515,096 people are to be employed,” the statistics said.
