Iran's aluminum ingots production increased by 23 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through December 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, four Iranian aluminum companies produced 400,481 tons of aluminum ingots within 9 months. The figure stood at 325,223 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"So, the Iranian Aluminum Company produced about 133,832 tons of aluminum ingots, South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) – 127,232 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 111,325 tons, and Iran Alumina Company – 28,092 tons during 9 months," the report said.
In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced 175,284 tons of alumina powder in eight months, which is a decrease of 1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure amounted to 177,239 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
As well as the company produced 677,604 tons of bauxite during the mentioned period, which is an increase of 11 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the bauxite production was 608,195 tons over the same period last Iranian year.
