IRICA unveils value of Iran’s trade turnover with EAEU member states

The value of Iran's trade turnover with the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to more than $4.2 billion, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2021), Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Hossein Kakhaki said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

The director general noted that this is an increase of 74 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Kakhaki also added that Iran exported about $883 million worth of goods to the EAEU member states, which is an increase of 19 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Iran exported $436 million worth of goods to Russia, about $134 million worth of goods to Kazakhstan, $62.4 million worth of goods to Kyrgyzstan, $13.3 million - Belarus and $237 million - to remaining member countries,” he said.

According to the official, Iran imported $3.33 billion worth of goods from the EAEU member states within the mentioned period. Imports increased by 99 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Kakhaki stressed that Iran imported $3 billion worth of goods from Russia, $295 million worth from Kazakhstan, $20.5 million worth from Belarus, $933,000 worth from Kyrgyzstan and $7.25 million worth from remaining member countries.
