TEHRAN, Iran, Jan. 10
Trend:
Iran's membership in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership trade agreement is profitable for the country, said the president to Center of Investment and Consultancy Services in Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Iran has good potentials and energy resources for trade with members of this pact, but it requires following the global standards in commercial, banking, and other aspects, Ferial Mostofi noted.
If Iran joins the agreement, production will become more competitive and raise quality and price for foreign trade that would be profitable for the country in the long term, she indicated.
Iran needs to join the FATF and be committed to international regulations to have trade with RCEP member countries.
Iran can attract foreign investment, share information, facilitate trade cooperation and e-commerce by joining the RCEP.
