Kazakhstan’s agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output amounted to 24.3 billion tenge ($473.1 million) over January 2022, which is 1.5 percent more compared to the same month of the last year, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Some 201.9 billion tenge ($467.4 million) accounted for agriculture alone, including 15.7 billion ($36.5 million) accounting for plant growing, and 186.1 billion tenge ($430.9 million) - for animal husbandry.
The increase in the agriculture, forestry and fishery gross output during the reporting period was due to the increase production of eggs by 18.4, milk y 1.5 percent and meat by 0.1 percent.
Turkestan region leads by the total value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output, which reached 37.2 billion tenge ($86.2 million) in January 2022, showing a 1.1-percent increase compared to the same months of 2021.
This includes 10.1 billion tenge ($23.4 million) worth of plant growing output and 26.5 billion tenge ($61.4 million) of animal husbandry output.
Second and third places accounted for Almaty and East Kazakhstan regions.
Agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Almaty region amounted to 32.3 billion tenge ($74.9 million), which is 2.5 percent more than during the same period of 2021.
This includes 1.9 billion tenge ($4.5 million) worth of plant growing output and 30.1 billion tenge ($69.7 million) of animal husbandry output.
The value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the East Kazakhstan region amounted to 20.4 billion tenge ($47.2 million), which is 8.6 percent more than during the same period of last year.
This includes 1.04 billion tenge ($2.4 million) worth of plant growing output and 19.1 billion tenge ($44.3 million) of animal husbandry output.
An increase in agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output was observed in nine Kazakh regions during the reporting period.
