TEHRAN, Iran, April 4. Iran is launching its mega projects by using resources from the National Development Fund, said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Development Fund Mehdi Ghazanfari, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The fund aims is to protect its resources and secondly invest and participate in projects that develop the country," he said.
He went on to say that the fund seeks to develop and increase its resources in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022) to support the budget in case of a decline in oil and gas export revenues.
According to the official, the fund's target is to reform the amendments to the regulations and reduces the assignment of its resources to the government from the current 60 percent to 20 percent.
