BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10. Iran's aluminum ingots production increased by 20 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, four Iranian aluminum companies produced a total of 538,633 tons of aluminum ingots within last Iranian year. The figure stood at 446,836 tons in the preceding the Iranian year.
"So, Iranian Aluminum Company produced 177,058 tons of aluminum ingots, the South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) – 173,594 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 150,738 tons, and Iran Alumina Company – 37,243 tons during last year," the report said.
In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced over 230,682 tons of alumina powder last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, the company’s alumina powder production amounted to 231,612 tons.
