BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. Turkey has imported a total of 488,968 tons of crude oil in February 2022 from Kazakhstan, which accounted for 15.25 percent of total Turkey’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Thus, Turkey’s import of Kazakh crude oil increased by 12.8 percent compared to February 2021 (433,456 tons) and went down by 5.6 percent compared to the volume imported in January 2022 (518,422 tons).

Turkey’s import of crude oil from Kazakhstan from January through February 2022 amounted to 1 million tons.

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey amounted to $876.3 million from January through February 2022, compared to $536.4 million during the same months of 2021.

Kazakhstan’s exports to Turkey amounted to $722.7 million from January through February 2022, compared to $379.2 million during the same period of 2021.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Turkey amounted to nearly $153.6 million over the reporting period, compared to $157.1 million during the same period of 2021.
