BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. In general, 131,000 tons of wheat and cooking oil were imported through three ports of Iran’s Gilan Province, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), Trend reports citing Iranian Government Trading Corporation’s website.

According to the report, 106,000 tons of wheat were imported through the ports of Gilan Province. The imported wheat was transported to the warehouses of the Government Trading Corporation (GTC) and stored there.

At the same time, 25,000 tons of cooking oil were imported to the country through Gilan Province’s ports during the reporting period. The imported cooking oil was sent to the country’s various cooking oil processing plants.

Iran’s Anzali, Caspian and Astara ports in the Gilan Province play a key role in importing essential products from the ports of the Caspian littoral states.
