BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. Iran's trade turnover with Turkmenistan amounted to about 349,000 tons worth about $104 million, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi told Trend.
The spokesman said that Iran exported 332,000 tons of goods worth $95.4 million to Turkmenistan in 3 months.
“Also Iran imported 16,200 tons worth $8.08 million from Turkmenistan over the reporting period,”Latifi added.
The customs official also noted that Turkmenistan ranked third in Iran's trade turnover with Caspian littoral states.
Over 3 months, Iran's trade turnover with the Caspian littoral states amounted to about 1.75 million tons worth about $881 million.
Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Iran are in the five Caspian littoral states.
