TEHRAN, Iran, August 1. The offering of cars via Iran's Mercantile exchange will begin on August 17, through which Bahman Motor Group will offer 600 cars, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The cars to be offered include 350 Fidelity and 250 Dignity models.
According to the reports, buyers are required to pay a 9-percent value added tax.
Recently, the car prices on Iran's free market have become significantly higher than the factory prices.
While this gap led to a massive influx of people and professional dealers to buy cars from factories. This was not beneficial for the auto industry, so those active in this sector sold their products at prices set by the Competition Council.
To tackle the problem, the offering of cars via the Mercantile exchange has been approved.
