BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Markazi Province (central Iran) increased by 9 percent in value and 3 percent in value, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Markazi Province Customs Office, Esmaeil Hosseini told IRNA, Trend reports
According to Hosseini, a total of 491,000 tons of goods worth about $405 million were exported from Iran’s Markazi Province in 4 months.
He added that the main exported goods were various hydrocarbon products, chemicals, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and etc.
Hosseini noted that the goods were exported to 70 countries, including Türkiye, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Russia, through province’s customs.
“In addition, 46,000 tons of goods worth $170 million were imported through the province's customs within four months, which is an increase of 9 percent in value and 8 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the official said.
Hosseini also said that raw materials and equipment were the main imported goods via the province’s customs. These goods were imported from 35 countries, including the UAE, Türkiye, China, and Qatar.
The director general stressed that the province's customs revenues for 4 months amounted to 1.22 trillion rials (about $29 million), which is an increase of 69 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
