TEHRAN, Iran, August 23. Russia'sTatarstan is prepared to develop ties and increase trade with Iran, said Tatarstan’s Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Iran and Tatarstan's trade volume in 2021 have increased 3.5 percent compared to 2020 and reached $180 million, the two sides should develop cooperation to increase trade volume, he said during a meeting with the head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Alireza Peyman Pak.
The Tatar official has expressed interest to cooperate with Iran's auto industry and auto parts manufacturers.
Representatives of Tatarstan oil, petrochemical, and energy companies have visited Iran to discuss cooperation with Iranian counterparts, he noted.
According to Vladimirovich, Tatar companies can operate joint projects with Iran in transportation and logistics while special incentives and tax exemptions in Iran's free economic zones could attract Tatar investors.
