BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. Inflation in Kazakhstan amounted to 1.8 percent in September 2022 as compared to August 2022, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The increase in prices on paid services was 2.7 percent compared to August 2022 and 12.3 percent compared to September 2021, on food products by 1.2 percent and 22.2 percent respectively, and on non-food items by 1.9 percent and 17 percent respectively.

Of non-food items, prices for furniture and household items increased by 5 percent, detergents and cleaning products - by 4.4 percent, personal goods - by 2 percent, clothing and footwear - by 1.9 percent. Firewood went up by 3 percent, coal - by 2.9 percent, liquefied gas in cylinders - by 1.5 percent.

For food products, prices for eggs increased by 7.5 percent, sunflower oil - by 4.6 percent, rice, pasta - by 4.1 percent, bakery and flour products - by 3.8 percent, cereals - by 3.2 percent, confectionery - by 3.1 percent. The decrease in prices was recorded for fresh vegetables - by 10.2 percent, potatoes - by 8.5 percent, granulated sugar - by 5.2 percent, fresh fruits - by 3 percent.
