TEHRAN, Iran, October 17. Iranian Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian said Iran is looking to expand its ties with Nicaragua, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The Iranian official has underlined the importance of political and economic ties with other countries, especially with Latin American countries, based on mutual interests.
Mehrabian made the remarks during a video conference of the Iran-Nicaragua joint economic commission.
For his part, senior investment and trade adviser to the Nicaraguan president Laureano Ortega called for finding capacity and potential for further bilateral cooperation.
