BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 14. Iran’s non-oil exports from Razavi Khorasan Province in the north-east of the country, decreased by 9 percent in value and 22 percent in volume, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Supervisor of Razavi Khorasan Province Customs Office Javad Jafari told ISNA, Trend reports.

The customs official noted that in total, 1.39 million tons of non-oil products worth $822 million were exported from Iran’s Razavi Khorasan Province in 8 months.

“The main exported goods were saffron, pistachios, iron and steel materials, etc., and the mentioned products were mainly exported to Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Iraq,” he added.

In addition, 188,000 tons of goods worth $418 million were imported to the province in 8 months, which is an increase of 25 percent in value and 54 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year, Jafari said.

According to him, cotton, mobile phones, and so on were the main imported goods. These goods were imported from the UAE, Türkiye, Tajikistan and China.

“In 8 months, the cargo transit through the Razavi Khorasan Province stood at 1.33 million tons. This is 53 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year,” the official pointed out.
