BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 3. Iran’s export of non-oil products from Razavi Khorasan Province in the north-east of the country, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022) amounted to 1.8 million tons worth $1.5 billion, Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Razavi Khorasan Province Amir Reza Rajabi told IRNA, Trend reports.

Rajabi noted that the export of non-oil products from the province increased by 4 percent in value, while decreased by 16.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“A total of 2.15 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.44 billion were exported from the province in the same period last Iranian year,” he added.

Meanwhile, 214,000 tons of non-oil products worth $206 million were exported from the province in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022) alone, which is an increase of 38.2 percent in value and 11.4 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year, the chairman said.

According to Rajabi, in addition, about 1.59 million tons of non-oil products worth $975 million were exported through customs of Razavi Khorasan Province in 9 months. This is a decrease of 7 percent in value and 21 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Within 9 months, saffron, pistachios, iron and steel products, apples, tomato paste, and so on were the main exported goods from the province. The mentioned goods were mainly exported to Greece, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Venezuela, New Zealand, Norway, Montenegro, Mongolia, Hungary, Egypt, Malaysia, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Kuwait and Kenya,” the official pointed out.
