BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with China amounted to 29.2 million tons worth $25.3 billion, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), a member of the international and foreign trade committee of the House of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Rouhollah Latifi said on social media, Trend reports.
The official emphasized that China ranks first in Iran's non-oil trade for 10 months.
Latifi added that Iran exported non-oil products worth $12.8 billion to China, which is an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“Iran mainly exported mining minerals, petroleum products, construction materials, bitumen, steel products, etc. to China during the reporting period,” he said.
Latifi also said that Iran imported goods worth about $12.7 billion from China in 10 months. This is an increase of 33 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
According to him, Iran mainly imported industrial oils, pharmaceuticals, equipment, electronics, steel products, car spare parts, etc. from China within the mentioned period.
In general, Iran exported more than 103 million tons of non-oil products worth $45.3 billion within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through January 20, 2023). This is an increase of 2.9 percent in value and 17 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, Iran imported 31 million tons of goods worth $48.5 billion within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023). This is an increase of 16.8 percent in value, while a decrease of 6 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
