BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 4. As many as 1,218 passenger cars worth approximately $25.4 million were imported to Iran, during the first 5 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), Trend reports.
As stated in the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the mentioned number of cars were imported through 11 customs of Iran.
In 5 months, 2,323 passenger cars were requested to be imported into the country. In addition to the import of the mentioned number (1,218) passenger cars, the procedural rules for the import of 1,105 passenger cars are currently being implemented.
Overall, Iran imported 14.4 million tons of goods worth $24.2 billion within the first 5 months of the current Iranian year.
This is an increase of 7.49 percent in value and 2.17 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
