Iran’s non-oil trade with Türkiye surges

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3. The non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Türkiye increased by 4.02 percent in value and 29.3 percent in volume, during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

As reflected in the data of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Türkiye for 5 months amounted to 6.26 million tons worth $4.67 billion.

Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, the non-oil trade turnover stood at 4.85 million tons worth $4.49 billion.

The main goods traded between the two countries were agricultural and food products, petrochemical products, industrial and mining products, various types of equipment, raw materials, cloth, etc.

In the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22 through August 22, 2023), Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Türkiye was 624,000 tons worth $623 million.

Overall, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover was $43.5 billion within the first five months of the current Iranian year.
