BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 4. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Russia increased by 14.6 percent in value and 44.7 percent in volume during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
As indicated in the data of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the non-oil trade turnover between the two countries for the reporting period amounted to 2.44 million tons worth $1.15 billion.
Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, Iran's non-oil trade with Russia stood at around 1.69 million tons worth $1 billion.
The main goods traded between Iran and Russia were petrochemical products, agricultural products, glassware, industrial products, raw silk, cotton, wood, and wood materials, etc.
Alone in the 5th month (July 23 through August 22, 2023), Iran's trade turnover with Russia was 389,000 tons worth approximately $173 million.
Overall, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover was $43.5 billion within the first five months of the current Iranian year.
