The Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan prepared the project on reforming of the agricultural research system. The project has been prepared in the framework of the “Development and crediting of agriculture in Azerbaijan” project, funded by the World
Bank jointly with the International Foundation for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the scientific-agrarian centre of the Agricultural Ministry told Trend.
The agreement on the project implementation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank was signed in 1999 году. The implementation started in 2002. $33,6 million was allocated for the first stage of the project. The project’s cost is $100 million. Its term is 10 years.
