The Cabinet of Ministers made a resolution on the purchase of airliners of Airbus A319-111 model from a German producer under the state guarantee, a government source told Trend.
In compliance with the presidential decree, it was resolved on 5 August 2005 to purchase 4 airliners for AZAL state air company under the state guarantees. The advance payment was made for 4 airliners simultaneously, while the full payment is carried out following their supply.
The first two airliners were acquired two years ago, the third October 2005 and the fourth recently.
The Dutch bank ABN AMRO provided loan for the purchase of 4 airliners to the Azerbaijani government and its braches in the UK, Germany and France participated in its financing.
