Business Materials 16 February 2007 12:24 (UTC +04:00)

In January 2007 the output of metallurgy enterprises in Azerbaijan decreased by 13.2% compared to last years figures, Trend reports. The State Statistics Committee told that 17.2% of total output fell to the private sector.

In January the biggest metallurgical company of Azerbaijan вЂ" Baku Steel Company was obliged to cease its activities due to a deficit in raw materials. Experts say that the cut in production in the metallurgy sector will probably drop in subsequent months. It is explained by the continuing deficit in raw materials that Baku Steel Company experiences.
