Azerbaijan , Baku /corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / Azersigorta state company is working out agriculture insurance project, said Aftandil Hajiyev, first deputy chairman of the company on Friday.
"Recently adopted amendments and additions to the support and development law of Azerbaijan agriculture stimulated the current works," said Mr. Hajiyev.
According to the document, the government has increased the premium financing in agriculture insurance from 25% to 50%.
The state budget will also insure agricultural specimen such as barley, corn, sunflower, potato, sugar-beet and vegetables (except greens) along with wheat.
Azersigorta 2006 total insurance earnings made 6,349,230 manats, obligatory insurance earnings 4,100,489 manats and voluntary insurance earnings 2,248,841 manats.
