Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Babayeva / The Deputy Director for the CIS region of the Swiss Mettler-Toledo International Inc. company, Ivan Rakhov, visited Baku last week. He was invited to Baku by the Azerbaijani State Agency on Standardization, Metrology, and Patents.
Mettler-Toledo is a trans-national corporation and the world's largest producer of laboratory, industrial, and trade weight measuring equipments.
Simultaneously, the company occupies leading positions in the development and production of analytic devices for laboratories and industry.
In accordance with rough estimates, Mettler-Toledo supplies 40% of the laboratory scales market. The company's headquarters are located in the Swiss city of Greifensee.
Production enterprises are situated in Germany, France, Great Britain, Switzerland, the United States, and China.
A training workshop was held within the framework of Rakhov's visit attended by the representatives of corresponding departments of the Agency and some twenty enterprises and organizations. The main purpose of the workshop was to establish close cooperation and familiarizing local producers with the company. Mettler-Toledo's products were presented during the training.
