Azerbaijani Delegation Participate in "Bird Flue’ Conference in Tbilisi

Georgia, Tbilisi / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / The Azerbaijani delegation is attending the two-day regional conference the South Caucasus countries dedicated to 'Bird Flue', which in began in Tbilisi on 28 June.

Yolchu Khanvali, the press-secretary of the State Veterinary Service at the Azerbaijani Agricultural Ministry, stated on 28 June that the Azerbaijani delegation of State Service headed by Emin Shahbazov was attending the conference.

Faik Mammadzadeh, the deputy director of the Republican anti-Plague Station at the Azerbaijani Health Ministry is also in presence.

The presentation of Mammadzadeh in the section of "Review of situation on bird-flue, human health and veterinary' is scheduled in compliance with the program of the conference.

The task groups will develop communication protocols for periods before and after occurring of 'bird flue' pandemic on veterinary components, human health, communication with community and interdepartmental coordination at the second day of the conference.

Along with representatives from the South Caucasus countries, the international experts from the World Health Organization, the Jon Hopkins University, UNICEF and others also attend the conference.
