Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / Turkey receives approximately 8mln cu m of gas from the Azerbaijani gas condensate from the Azerbaijani gas field Shah Deniz, the Azerbaijan Government said on 14 September.
Presently Azerbaijan receives 5 mln cu.m of gas from the Shah Deniz field per day and 1mln cu m of gas is given to Georgia a day, while the smallest part of gas (less than 1mln cu m) is given to pump stations of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export oil pipeline.
At present production from Shah Deniz operated by BP company, comprises over 14mln cu m of gas a day (500mln cu m of gas and approximately 30,000 barrels of condensate). Three wells operate on the field and in October it is planned to commence the 4th.
Production will continue to increase during the year as the remaining pre-drilled well is put into operation. The drilling of new wells will commence from the platform later this year.
In 2007 BP plans to produce an average of around 63,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (or 2.7 bln cu.m. of gas and 0.8 million tonnes of condensate for the entire year) from Shah Deniz. Plateau production from Stage 1 will be 8.6 billion cu. m. of gas per annum and approximately 30,000 barrels of condensate per day.
