Russia ceased natural gas deliveries to Turkey, the Turkish Haber 7 news agency reported the country's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler as saying on Jan. 6.
The disruption of gas supplies is connected with the ongoing gas crisis between Russia and Ukraine.
According to data from the Turkish state company, Botas, Turkey plans to purchase 22 billion cubic meters of Russian gas in 2009 and 24 billion cubic meters in 2010.
