BP exceeds planned volumes of associated gas received by SOCAR during three quarters

In January-September, the British BP, operator of the development of block of the fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" (ACG) in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, gave 2.5 billion cubic meters of associated gas to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), BP official report on the results of three quarters says.

SOCAR receives associated gas within the ACG development free of charge.

According to the report, SOCAR was planned to receive 1.9 billion cubic meters of gas from the ACG only this year.

During the reporting period, average daily volume of gas received by SOCAR hit 9.3 million cubic meters.

SOCAR received about four billion cubic meters of gas in 2009 compared to the planned 1.45 billion cubic meters.

ACG participating interests are: BP (operator - 34.1 percent), Chevron (10.2 percent), SOCAR (10 percent), INPEX (10 percent), Statoil (8.6 percent), ExxonMobil (8 percent), TPAO (6.8 percent), Devon (5.6 percent), ITOCHU (3.9 percent), and Delta Hess (2.7 percent).
