Kazakhstan intends to build a fourth refinery in 2020, Oil and Gas Minister Sauat Mynbayev said.
"We have such plans and the refinery will be built in 2020," Mynbayev said at the plenary session of the lower chamber of the parliament.
He stressed that the existing three refineries can provide domestic demand for oil products.
Kazakhstan has three major oil refineries: Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, Atyrau and Shymkent refineries.
