About 392,711 meters were drilled in Kazakhstan in January-March 2011 compared to about 319,721 meters during the same period of last year, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.
The total volume of drilling operations was fulfilled by 92.7 percent in March 2011. About 182,807 meters were drilled compared to 131,778 meters drilled in March 2010. It was planned to drill 197,120 meters.
The volume of exploratory drilling was fulfilled by 80.3 percent in march 2011. About 31,395 meters were drilled. It was planned to drill 39,093 meters.
