Iran to start oil production from joint filed

Iran will launch an early oil production form the Yadavaran joint oilfield on Dec. 22 through China's Petrochemical Corporation Sinopec, Pananews reported quoting Yadavaran Development Project Manager Saeed Hafezi as saying. The daily output will be 20,000 barrels of oil.

"Drilling of 4 wells on this well will be completed in the next two months and the production on the Yadavaran oil field will be started on Dec.22," he said.

The National Iranian Oil Company plans to develop the first phase of the Yadavaran oil field development. The first phase includes drilling of 55 wells and increasing the oil production to 85,000 bpd.

The oil production will be brought to 180,000 bpd in the second phase and 300,000 bpd in the third phase.

The Yadavaran oil field is located in south west of the Ahvaz on border with Iraq.
