The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) exported about 708,400 tons of oil products from its own refineries in January-June compared to 941,000 tons in the same period of 2010.
SOCAR exported over 1.8 million tons of main kinds of oil products in 2010 compared to 2 million tons in 2009.
In June, SOCAR exported 107,500 tons of oil products.
The country produces oil products at the Two Baku refineries with a total capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year. Both refineries belong to SOCAR, which annually processes approximately 7 million tons of oil from the Azerbaijani offshore and onshore fields.
