The gas supplied to customers in Azerbaijan and exported abroad fully complies with GOST 5542-87 standards, Azerigaz Deputy Departmental Chief Kamal Tariverdiyev told Trend.
He addedthat the gas delivered to the PU's system is supplied from SOCAR's gas refinery.
The gas produced from fields is processed and provided in accordance with the necessary standards.
"Afterwards, gas, obtained from the plant, is delivered to consumers within the country and abroad," he said. "That is, the gas for domestic consumption and export is delivered from one source."
SOCAR supplies gas to Georgia and Russia, as well as the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic via Iran within the contracts.
