Total production of gas amounted to 29.454 billion cubic meters in Kazakhstan in January-September 2011, compared to 27.239 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2010, the Kazakh Statistics Agency dispatching management told Trend.
Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 3.124 bcm in September compared to 2.296 bcm during the same period of the last year. In September, gas production in the country increased by 36.1 percent as compared to September 2010 and decreased by 7.2 percent compared to the previous month.
The implementation of the plan in September for the country's gas extraction amounted to 98.2 percent extracted gas, and natural gas extracted at 115.2 percent.
