A new refinery planned in Kazakhstan will be constructed on the border with China, KazMunaiGas Processing and Marketing Commercial Director Azamat Akishev told Trend on Monday.
"I suppose it will be constructed on border with China," Akishev noted.
At the same time, according to 'KazMunaiGas -Processing and Marketing' representative, the final decision regarding the location of future plant has not been made yet, the issue is currently under consideration.
According to Akishev, construction of the new plant can be launched in 2020.
Three oil refineries are currently operating in Kazakhstan.
