Kazakhstan's total production of gas amounted to 29.874 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-September, 2012, compared to 29.454 bcm during the same period of 2011, the national dispatch center of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.
Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 3.096 bcm in September, 2012 compared to 3.124 bcm during the same month of last year. In September, 2012 gas production in the country decreased by 11.3 percent as compared to September, 2011 and decreased by 13.7 percent compared to the previous month.
The fulfillment of the indicative plan on the gas extraction amounted to 101.1 percent in September, 2012.
Kazakhstan's domestic demand for gas amounted to 455.2 million cubic metres in September, 2012, which is 3.1 percent less than demand in the previous month and 3.4 percent less than in September, 2011.
