Caspian Technical Conference to be held in turns in Astana and Baku

Starting from 2014 the Caspian Technical Conference will be held in Astana and Baku annually and in turns, chairman of the Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Sanjar Zharkeshev said on Dec. 9.
He made the remarks in Astana at the meeting of the Coordinating Council for Oil-Gas Sector Development of KazEnergy Association.
"Starting from 2014 the Caspian Technical Conference will become an annual event. According to a comparative analysis, November 2014 is the best time for holding the event," he said.
Zharkeshev added that the event will be held in turns in Astana and Baku.
SPE is the largest membership organization for managers, engineers and scientists and other professionals around the world working in the field of exploration and production of oil and gas resources.
Currently there are more than 110,000 members of the organization in the world. The organization has over 500 members in Kazakhstan.
The SPE mission is engaged in gathering, disseminating and exchanging technical information in the field of research, development and operation of oil and gas fields, as well as other technologies for the common good.
