Over the last fiscal Iranian month (23 October- 21 November) 12.217 million barrels of condensate have been exported from Asalouyeh Port in southern, an Iranian oil official said.

Pirouz Mousavi, Managing Director of Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC), said the figure shows 19 percent growth compared to the same period last year.

Saying that using modern technologies the port is capable of loading 25,000-30,000 barrels of condensate per hour, the official added that 16 tankers docked in the port in the mentioned period, IRNA news agency reported Nov 29.

He added that the condensate was produced in the South Pars gas field and exported to Japan, China and the United Arab Emirates.

More than 4.965 million tons of gas condensates were exported from Iran's Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in the first half of the current Iranian fiscal year.

Iranian condensate exports in September were around 210,000 barrels per day (bpd), topping 200,000 bpd for the first time this year after China resumed imports.

Other buyers included Japan, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and Poland.

Iran has the capacity to export about 500,000 bpd of condensate, but buyers took about 180,000 bpd on average in the first nine months this year.

Condensate is a by-product of natural gas production.
