SOCAR buys 11,000 tons of aviation fuel from Saudi Arabia

SOCAR Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, has bought 11,000 tons of aviation fuel from Saudi Arabia, OilNews reported citing the Ukrainian company Consulting Group A-95.

SOCAR Energy Ukraine received another 4,600 tons of aviation fuel from Lithuania, according to the report.

Overall, 157,000 tons of aviation fuel was imported into Ukraine in January-June 2017, which is 3.72 times more than in 1H16. According to Consulting Group A-95, 72 percent of the aviation fuel was imported by sea in January-June 2017. It was mainly bought from Italy and Saudi Arabia.
