Trend:

Gross Regional Product (GRP) of the Kyzylorda region of Kazakhstan for the first time in the last 4 years has reached a positive development.

Production growth in manufacturing industry only has been more than 56 percent over past years, Kazinform reports with reference to the official webpage of the regional government.

Dependence of the regional economy on hydrocarbons has become much less than ever before.

The first half of the year has also passed well. Positive dynamics was achieved in virtually all macro-indicators, both in terms of investment (117.2 percent), construction activities (115.9 percent), production of agricultural products (102.7 percent), and manufacturing (100.5 percent).

Labor productivity in the manufacturing industry increased by more than 10 percent in the first quarter of the year, and exports of non-primary products increased by 2.7 times.

At the same time, oil production in the region continues to decline (since the beginning of the year it has not reached 250,000 tons), therefore there is a slight lag in industrial production (95.3 percent) and housing construction (74.3 percent).
