ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, Dec. 25

By Huseyn Hasanov – Trend:

Ashgabat held a conference devoted to presenting international certificates to Turkmenistan's Turkmengas concern, for the production of gasoline from natural gas in the Akhal region, Trend reports via Turkmengas' statement.

Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and Danish Energy Industries Federation issued certificates, also noting high level of ecology standards of Turkmengas' production.

The head of Turkmengas Myrat Archaev also participated in the event.

It was also noted that modern production complexes are being built and opened for the production of oil and gas industry, which is in great demand in the world market.

In Ovadan Depe, near the Turkmen capital, a synthetic gasoline production plant has recently been opened. The plant was built by a consortium of Japanese Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Turkish Ronesans Holding companies.

The new technology introduced at this enterprise foresees for minimal carbon dioxide emissions, the absence of sulfur, harmful metals and compliance with strict requirements on the composition of aromatic and olefin hydrocarbons in the product.

The Haldor Topsoe technology in combination with high-performance catalysts, allows producing high-quality gasoline with the lowest power inputs and minimal environmental impact.

At this stage, negotiations are underway on the construction of the second plant in Ovadan Depe.
