The complete overhaul of Iran's Shahid Tondgoyan Petrochemical Company has improved the environmental standards and the company would go "green" in 2022, the company's CEO Reza Ghasemi Shahri said, Trend reports via IRNA.
"The production capacity of the petrochemical company is to increase in the next Iranian year (begins March 21, 2020)," said Shahri.
"The production cut in second half of the current Iranian year (began March 21,2019) was due to major overhaul," he said.
"The units in company's second factory were active for 11 years and the foreign companies responsible of testing operations have left Iran due to sanctions, so the domestic sector started the testing and overhaul in the current Iranian year," he added.
"All the machinery and equipment in the second phase were examined , major part of overhaul was related to heat exchangers," he said.
"The production capacity of the company would increase Iranian year (begins March 21,2020) and would reach optimal status in 2022," he said.
Shahri said the improvements would bring profits and reduce the annual fine for environmental pollution.
He pointed out that the company has good cutomers in Central and Western Asia.
