BP’s 5-year performance data in Azerbaijan

Total hydrocarbons produced by BP in Azerbaijan stood at 928,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2019, as compared to 871,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2018, Trend reports citing BP in Azerbaijan Sustainability Report 2019.

This includes Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli oil, Shah Deniz gas and condensate, associated gas delivered to the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

As for the previous years of the mentioned period, the company’s production stood at 903,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2005, rising to 908,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2006 and dropping to 858,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2007.

When coming to the company’s financial performance in Azerbaijan during the reporting period, which includes the BP AGT and its co-venturers, the total gross operating expenditure stood at $1.445 billion in 2015, then dropping in the subsequent two years to $1.117 billion and $1.069 billion, respectively.

BP’s operating expenditure rose again to $1.238 billion in 2018 and stood at 1.296 billion in 2019.

As for capital expenditure, it stood at $7.430 billion in 2015, $6.180 billion in 2016, $4.873 billion in 2017, $2.988 billion in 2018 and $2.654 billion in 2019.

BP spent $75 billion capital expenditure on the ACG, BTC, Shah Deniz and SCP projects since the beginning of operations in 1995 till the end of 2019.

Around $86 million was spent jointly with the company’s co-venturers on social programs including community development and educational initiatives since the start of our operations in Azerbaijan.
