Gas production has resumed from well No. 8 of the Khangiran gas field in Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran), said Ali Mostafavi Director of the Engineering and Construction Department of the Iran’s East Oil and Gas Production Company, Trend reports citing Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC).
According to Mostafavi, well No. 8 was repaired by the Drilling Department of the ICOFC.
Mostafavi added that the equipment was installed in this well and production began at the end of the second month (April 20 - May 20, 2020).
The official said that at present, the well produces 1 million cubic meters of gas per day.
The East Oil and Gas Production Company is operating under the Central Oil Fields Company. The company works on Khangiran and Gunbadli gas fields. The company produces 62 million cubic meters of gas per day. The Khangiran gas field, with reserves of 480 billion cubic meters, produces 17 million cubic meters of gas per day.
The East Oil and Gas Production Company produced 15.7 billion cubic meters of gas in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
