By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern cooperates with a number of foreign companies to overhaul wells and intensify inflows at the Goturdepe oil field, Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan told Trend.

In order to implement the overhaul, Turkmennebit cooperates with Tatneft company of Russia’s Tatarstan, and Singaporean Yug-Neftegaz Private Limited company.

Yug-Neftegaz Private Limited also provides capital repair services at the concern's oil production wells and plans to drill at least 60 new wells in Turkmenistan's Severny Goturdepe area within the company investment, the embassy added.

Earlier, Turkmennebit State Concern and Turkmengeology State Corporation drilled wells to a depth of over 7,000 meters in Usinage site in the Western Turkmenistan, and obtained a strong flow of gas and gas condensate.

"The discovery of the Usinage field confirmed the presence of a high potential of hydrocarbons in the deeper horizons of the area," said the embassy.

Moreover, this field increases the potential for detecting hydrocarbons in the area of Western Ordekli, located in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.

The main activity of Turkmennebit is aimed at implementing the national concept of oil industry development; development of oil and gas deposits; ensuring the effectiveness and growth of exploration drilling, and oil and gas condensate production for the purpose of economic and social conditions of the population; increasing confirmed hydrocarbon reserves and stable growth of oil, gas and gas condensate production.
