Oil production in Kazakhstan in 2022 will amount to 87.9 million tons, with an increase to 107.4 million tons by 2026, the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Asset Irgaliyev said at a government meeting, Trend reports citing MIA Kazinform.
The Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Asset Irgaliev presented a forecast of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026, according to which the average annual growth of gross output under the baseline scenario will be 4.8 percent, under the optimistic scenario - 5 percent, under the pessimistic scenario - 4.6 percent.
“It is proposed to use the baseline scenario as a basis for budget planning. Under this scenario, real GDP growth is projected at 3.9 percent in 2022 and will accelerate to 5.2 percent by 2026. Nominal gross output in 2022 will amount to 87 trillion tenge ($205 billion), and in 2026, 119 billion tenge ($280 million). Positive growth is expected in all sectors,” Irgaliyev said.
According to him, oil production in 2022 will amount to 87.9 million tons, with an increase to 107.4 million tons by 2026. The volume of merchandise exports in 2022 is projected at $60 billion; by 2026 it will increase to $79.8 billion. Imports of goods will increase from $40 billion in 2022 to $43 billion in 2026. The trade balance will increase from $19.3 billion to $36 billion.
According to the minister, taking into account this forecast, the revenues of the republican budget in 2022 should amount to 9.2 trillion tenge ($21 billion), in 2023 - 9.7 trillion tenge ($22.8 billion), in 2024 - 10 trillion tenge ($23 billion).
