Kazakhstan increases monthly coal output

Kazakhstan has extracted 62.7 million tons of coal over the period from January through July 2021, which is 0.3 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The report said that the volume of coal extracted in July 2021 stood at 8.6 million tons, which in turn is 2.6 percent more than in July 2020.

Furthermore, crude oil extraction including gas condensate was 49.6 million tons during the reporting period, which is 3.4 percent less as compared to the volume extracted during the same period of 2020. Kazakhstan’s July oil output was 7.2 million tons, which also is 9.3 percent more than during the same month of 2020.

Kazakhstan also extracted 31.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the reporting period of 2021 and 4.5 billion cubic meters in July, which is 4.8 percent less and 5.9 percent more year-on-year.

Fuel oil manufacturing volume stood at 1.5 million tons and 187,200 tons during the reporting period and July 2021 respectively, which is 24.4 percent more and 10.6 percent less than during the same period of 2020.

Kerosene manufacturing amounted to 333,300 tons over seven months (up by 31 percent) and 69,300 tons in July 2021 (up by 65 percent), whereas diesel manufacturing equaled 2.8 million tons over seven months (up by 9 percent) and 482,000 tons in July 2021 (up by 37.4 percent).

Hydrocarbon liquefied gases output was 665,400 tons over seven months of 2021 with an annual decrease of 5.4 percent, whereas July output was 107,600 tons (up by 29.5 percent annual).

Electricity generation over seven months of 2021 equaled 66.07 billion kWh, which is 7.5 percent more than in 2020, whereas the volume of electricity generated in July 2021 amounted to 8.8 billion kWh, which is 9.6 percent more year-on-year.

The volume of thermal energy generated from January through July 2021 amounted to 52.9 million Gcal with an annual increase of 10.2 percent, whereas July 2021 output was 3.2 million Gcal, which is 17.9 percent more than in July 2020.
